Dr. Youssef will serve as Pine Rest’s inaugural vice president of research, according to a Jan. 16 news release. In this role, he will oversee the organization’s current research initiatives and the extension of its research partnerships.
Dr. Youssef was also appointed director of the division of psychiatry and behavior medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, in addition to serving as a professor.
He joins the two organizations from Ohio State University, where he served as director of clinical research, director of the university’s electroconvulsive therapy program and professor of psychiatry, the release said.
