Officials in San Joaquin County, Calif., have approved a $261.8 million substance use and mental health treatment center.

The Be Well Campus will be built on 23 acres in French Camp, Calif., and offer crisis stabilization, detox and sobriety centers, substance use treatment and outpatient services, according to an April 23 news release from the county.

Construction is expected to begin in September, and the center is scheduled to be completed in 2027. The facility is funded by several sources, including opioid settlement funds, state funding and backing from the Health Plan of San Joaquin, the release said.
