Mr. Lehane spent 10 years at the helm of the organization, during which it became the first federally designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in Rhode Island. He will continue to serve Newport Mental Health as chief strategy officer on a part-time basis.
His four-decade career in behavioral health included serving as CEO of the Southwest Connecticut Behavioral Health System, director of adult mental health for the District of Columbia, and behavioral health director for the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.
Dayna Gladstein has been appointed Mr. Lehane’s replacement as president and CEO and will officially take over March 4. She has served as the organization’s executive vice president for the past three years, the report said.
