24/7 crisis center to open in Maryland

A 24-hour crisis care center is slated to open in September in Frederick, Md., Maryland Matters reported Aug. 31.

The crisis stabilization center will be operated by the Mental Health Association of Frederick County and will provide around-the-clock trauma responsive, minimal barrier, voluntary care and recovery-focused services to county residents.

The center was funded in part by a portion of Frederick County’s American Rescue Plan Act allocation, the report said.
