Talkspace launches specialty care consortium

Talkspace is launching an effort to connect patients to specialty mental healthcare.

The telebehavioral health provider will partner with specialty telehealth providers, including Charlie Health, Ria Health and Bicycle Health, to refer members to in-network specialty care, according to an April 29 news release.

The partners will provide care for individuals with more high-acuity behavioral health needs, including treatment for alcoholism, substance use and eating disorders.

"We know it is important for our payer partners to keep their members in-network, as they strive to provide them affordable access to the support they need to thrive," Erin Boyd, chief growth officer at Talkspace said in the release. "With the introduction of this consortium, we are better enabling our members to stay in-network for their specialty care needs, all within their Talkspace member experience."

Talkspace has doubled-down on its business-to-business efforts. More than 130 million people have access to the program through insurers, employee assistance programs and other employer partnerships.
